Stavroula Kaburakis is currently a principal dancer with The Greek National Opera in Europe. Her principal roles include Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Paquita, La Fille Mal Gardee, Snow Queen, La Sylphide, Napoli, The Moore’s Pavane, La Bayadere, Eugene Onegin, Aida, Solitaire, Cinderella, Les Sylphides, Genzano Flower Festival, The Four Last Songs, Canto General, Zorba, etc.

The above productions were in collaboration with Ballet Masters such as Irek Mukhamedov (Bolshoi Ballet-also her company’s Artistic Director), Vladimir Vasiliev (Bolshoi Ballet), Alexander Grant, Lynn Seymour (both from Royal Ballet), Oleg Vinagradov (Kirov Ballet), Igor Zelensky, Pierre Lacotte, Tatiana Terekhova 

(all from Mariinsky Theatre), Rudi van Dantzig (Dutch National Ballet), Evelyn Hart (Royal Winnipeg Ballet), Galina Samsova (National Ballet of Canada), Lorca Massine, Alice Condodina (Jose Limon), Ray Barra (ABT, Stuttgart Ballet, Berlin Ballet), Truman Finney (New York City Ballet), Olga Evreinoff (for Bournonville),

Renato Zanella (also her Artistic Director, from Vienna State Opera Ballet).  Stavroula has performed as a soloist In the freelance production of Giselle where principal roles were danced by Diana Vishneva, Vladimir Malahov, Igor Zelensky, Yulia Mahalina, and Maria Alexandrova.  She has performed Genzano Flower Festival pas de deux in “Gala of the Stars”.  Other dancers included Denis and Anastasia Matvienko (Mariinsky Theatre), 

Benjamin Pech and Eleonora Abbagnato (Paris Opera), Shoko Nakamura and Wieslaw Dudek (Berlin Ballet).

In the US, she has studied and performed with Jacques d’Amboise’s (NYCB) The National Dance Institute.

Has performed in Lincoln Center’s Tribute to Lestor Horton and Joyce Tristler. And also had a soloist contract with The Eglevsky Ballet.  Born and raised in New York, she has completed 7 years at The School of American Ballet, meanwhile performing with The New York City Ballet.  Ballets included The Nutcracker (7 years), A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Coppelia, Harlequinade, Celebration, Circus Polka, etc.  She graduated from New York City’s  LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts (FAME).  Later on, won full scholarship at The New York University- Tisch School of the Arts. 

Even so, she accepted scholarship at Adelphi University, where she graduated with a Cum Laude diploma- Bachelor of Fine Arts and Sciences.  She has studied and earned a certified diploma from The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). And also has received Honorable Mention from The National Advancement of the Arts for modern technique. Stavroula has been teaching professional and student levels throughout her career.
